Irish landscape fine art card |The sun sets on Mussenden | Polly Gribben
Mussenden temple was built as a summer library for Frederick Augustus Hervey - a place for the Earl Bishop to be alone with his thoughts and his books! What a setting with the views overlooking Downhill strand and the Donegal hills beyond. The Temple is widely regards as one of the finest examples of neo-classical architecture in Ireland. To be there as the sun sets adds a whole other level of warmth and beauty. I hope this painting transports you there!
